HEART OF THE FLAME

It is a dangerous chase, one that pits Kenrick against foes skilled in dark, deadly arts. But no obstacle will prove more treacherous–nor more seductively lethal–than the fiery beauty called Haven.

Caught up in the battle for the Chalice, Haven survives a night of terror that leaves her wounded and near death. Her memory scorched by fever, Haven awakens to find herself in the care of the forbidding, handsome Kenrick, who offers his protection in return for her alliance. A tenuous trust is formed between them, which soon ignites into a fierce passion neither can deny. It is a gift that has kept her secluded from the outside world, wary of those who would use her powers for their own gain. But Rand’s wounded heart beckons, and his passionate nature draws her to him–daring her to surrender to a dangerous seduction that could destroy them both. . . .

Ok so I know almost everyone here knows about Lara Adrian and if you don’t then go find one of her books and read it!!! You will not regret it! I was first introduced to her through her series “The Midnight Breed” series. I loved the series so when I saw on Amazon that she had republished some of her older works for Kindle (yes I am in love with mine and not afraid to admit it!) I was so happy and bought all of them right then! In with two weeks I had read all of them and am hoping that there are more to come!!! I will just say that I love all of them and just like her “The Midnight Breed” series the plot keeps you reading and they all leave you wanting more books just like them!!!

WHITE LION’S LADY

Then a twist of fate puts a price on both their heads, embroiling them in a life-and-death chase that will force Griffin to choose between his own freedom and his fierce desire for the woman who would redeem his noble spirit. When she steals into the desert camp of the English army, she has one goal: to banish the crusaders from her homeland by murdering King Richard the Lionheart. Her deceptive strategy delivers her into the hands of the enemy–and puts her at the mercy of the dashing Black Lion, Sebastian of Montborne.

Fighting for peace in a dangerous, exotic land, Sebastian never dreamed that the tides of war would bring him a mysterious beauty in need of his protection. Nor could he guess that the lady who ignites his heart is the very enemy he has sworn to destroy on behalf of his king. Caught in a deadly game of passion and deception, their unbidden love could cost Sebastian and Zahirah their lives. .

LORD OF VENGEANCE

Taken captive by Gunnar Rutledge, a dark knight sworn to destroy her father, Raina d’Bussy must teach forgiveness to a man who knows no mercy and lives only to exact revenge on his enemy. But time in Gunnar’s keep stirs an unwanted passion in Raina, and something far more perilous, when she finds herself falling in love with the one man she should never desire.

For Gunnar, vengeance is all that matters. He seeks the ultimate price from his enemy’s beautiful young daughter, claiming Raina as his hostage. But the proud beauty defies him at every turn, tempting him like no other. Setting out to break Raina’s glorious spirit, Gunnar instead finds himself bewitched by her goodness, her strength. Can he seize the justice he is due without losing Raina forever?

Pork Tenderloin Sandwiches with Honey Mustard

Pork Tenderloin Sandwiches with Honey Mustard on the Food Network.

ngredients

Pork Tenderloin:

  • Vegetable oil cooking spray
  • Two 1-pound pork tenderloins
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons grapeseed oil

Honey Mustard:

  • 2 tablespoons grapeseed oil
  • 2 large shallots, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt, plus extra for seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, plus extra for seasoning
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup white wine, such as pinot grigio
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch pieces, at room temperature
  • 6 sourdough demi-baguettes or rolls, halved lengthwise

Directions

For the pork tenderloin: Place an oven rack in the center of the oven. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Spray a heavy baking sheet with vegetable oil cooking spray. Set aside.

Sprinkle the pork with the salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork and brown on all sides, about 8 minutes. Transfer the pork to the prepared baking sheet and bake until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the meat registers 160 degrees F, about 30 minutes. Allow the meat to rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Slice the pork into 1/4-to-1/2-inch-thick slices.

For the honey mustard: Heat the oil over medium-high heat in the same skillet used for browning the pork. Add the shallots, salt and pepper. Cook until the shallots are soft, about 3 minutes. Add the garlic and cook until aromatic, 30 seconds. Add the wine and scrape up the brown bits that cling to the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon. Cook for 1 minute. Whisk in the honey, mustard, vinegar and thyme. Simmer until thick, 2 minutes. Stir in the butter until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.

To assemble the sandwiches: Slather the honey mustard on the cut sides of the baguettes. Arrange the pork slices in a single layer on the bottom halves of the baguettes. Spoon a little more honey mustard on top of the pork. Place the remaining baguette halves on top and serve. Serve any extra honey mustard alongside.

The Angel in My Arms (Regency Rogues, #2) by Stefanie Sloane

This book will keep you laughing the whole time! I loved the humor in it! In this Regency romance you meet Sarah and Marcus! Sarah is not your typical female. She is courageous, funny, intelligent and witty! She cuts past all of Marcus’s defenses and makes him realize that maybe being loved for who you are isn’t such a bad thing! Marcus is a half Scottish highlander and half English gentlemen…. Interesting mix huh? He is always trying to find his place. Around Sarah he can finally let down his guard but he is in the middle of a smuggling investigation so if he lets it down too much will it cost him his case? or worse Sarah? There is plenty of humor and action in this book and will keep you guessing the whole time!
